There are a couple of things you can do to solve this without using doorstops or block the door open. They make magnetic doorstoppers that are installed on the back of the door and wall that keep the doors open without a block in front of the door.
Another thing you can try is to pull the hinge pins out (one at a time) and take them outside and put them the cement and hit them in the middle with a hammer to put a slight bend in the pin. When you put them back in the hinges due to them now being bent, they will cause friction, which usually is enough to keep the door from swinging closed on its own.
