We have a fiberglass bathtub in our bathroom that has a crack in the bottom of it. We talked to a plumber who said it would have to be replaced. It seems to me that there should be some way to fix it rather than replacement. Do you have any suggestions?

After each replacement, the doorbell worked for about two or three days, then the transformer blew out. What could be causing this to happen? Is it due to a short in the wiring? Do I need an electrician or should I consider replacing the electric doorbell with a wireless one. I have a front and a back doorbell.
