Some of the locks on my outside doors are hard to put the key in. Even the doors I use all of the time are hard to put the key in. Sometimes the key gets stuck in and is hard to get out. Is there anything I can do other than buy new locks?

Unless the key or lock has been damaged, this is generally due to corrosion or dirt in the locking mechanism.  Use a cleaning agent for locks and graphite to clean and lubricate the lock.  Be sure to purchase “lock” cleaning … Continue reading →
